Archidona Viaduct

The Archidona Viaduct is located in the province of Malaga, and belongs to the Antequera-Granada High Speed Line. It is a viaduct of a total length of 3,150 m. A work of great magnitude designed to provide a solution to the need to bridge a total length of valley of more than three kilometres. It should be noted that the average height of its piers is 25 metres.

Two types of pier were used: the standard pier (free in the longitudinal direction and fixed in the transverse direction) and the central pier or fixed point of the viaduct, which is designed in the form of a triangular cell. Caldibe participated in this project manufacturing the formwork for its piles.
